Pusoy — The Card Game in Every Filipino Household
Ask anyone who grew up in the Philippines and they will have a Pusoy memory. Maybe it was Christmas Eve at your lolo's house, a long barrio night with cousins, or a slow Sunday after lunch when someone pulled out a deck of cards and the table suddenly got very competitive. Pusoy, also known internationally as Chinese Poker, is not just a game here — it is a cultural institution.
What Super Aces did was take that familiar experience and put it on your phone screen, accessible any time of day, against real players from all over the country. The interface keeps all the strategy and tension of the physical game intact, with a clean layout that makes card arrangement easy even on a small screen. You do not need to wait for a holiday gathering to get a good game going anymore.
Whether you are a seasoned player who already knows your hand rankings by heart or someone who only played casually before, Super Aces has tables suited to your level. Low-stakes rooms for getting comfortable, mid-range games for regular play, and high-stakes tables for the serious competitors who want to put real money on their card skills.

How Pusoy Works — The Basic Game Structure
Pusoy is dealt from a standard 52-card deck. Each of the 2 to 4 players at the table receives 13 cards. From those 13 cards, each player must construct three separate hands:
-
Back Hand (5 cards) — Your strongest five-card hand. This is the most important group and must rank highest among your three hands.
-
Middle Hand (5 cards) — Your second five-card hand. Must rank equal to or lower than the Back, and equal to or higher than the Front.
-
Front Hand (3 cards) — Your weakest three-card hand. Only pairs and high card combinations apply here since straights and flushes do not count in a three-card group.
After all players set their hands, they are revealed simultaneously. Each hand is compared against the corresponding hand of every other player. You score a point for each hand you win. If you win all three hands against an opponent, that is called a scoop — and it typically carries a bonus multiplier in most variants.
At Super Aces, the interface visually guides your card arrangement so you never accidentally set an illegal hand — a huge help for newer players learning the order rules.
Pusoy Variants at Super Aces
Different ways to play depending on your style and how much action you want per hand.
Classic Pusoy
The original format. 13 cards, three hands, point-based scoring per comparison. Standard scoop bonuses apply. Best for players who want a measured, strategic game.
ClassicPusoy Dos
The beloved Filipino variant where the goal is to shed all your cards by playing valid combinations in ascending order. The 2 of spades is the highest card — hence "Dos." Fast, addictive, and intensely competitive.
Most PopularOpen Face Pusoy
Cards are dealt face-up progressively rather than all at once. You set each hand in real time as cards arrive — decision-making under pressure with incomplete information.
StrategicTournament Pusoy
Scheduled multi-table tournaments at Super Aces with a fixed buy-in and prize pool. Chip accumulation format — survive the rounds and reach the final table to claim the biggest share.

| Situation | Back Hand Goal | Middle Consideration | Front Priority | Risk Level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strong Four of a Kind dealt | Place in Back | Best remaining full house or flush | Best available pair or high card | Low Risk |
| Two strong flushes in hand | Higher flush in Back | Lower flush in Middle | Strongest 3-card combo remaining | Low Risk |
| Straight available, scattered pairs | Straight in Back | Two pair if possible | High card or low pair | Medium Risk |
| No strong 5-card hands | Best high-card or pair cluster | Next best pair combo | Prioritize a pair in Front to win that row | Medium Risk |
| Three pairs distributed evenly | Highest pair in Back (with best kickers) | Second pair | Third pair — strong front | Low-Med |
| Temptation to set illegal hand | Redistribute, prioritize legality | Never set Middle stronger than Back | An illegal hand forfeits all comparisons | High Risk |

Tips from Super Aces Pusoy Regulars
These are the habits and mindsets that separate consistently winning players from the ones who feel like they keep getting scooped. Not guarantees — but sound thinking based on how good Pusoy is actually played.
-
Always secure at least one hand win. Going into a round thinking you can win all three sometimes results in overreaching and losing all three. Locking in the Back hand win first, then building what you can, is often the safer long-term approach.
-
Front hand pairs matter more than you think. Many players neglect the three-card front hand. But consistently winning that row — even with a modest pair — builds up a serious points advantage over a full session.
-
Do not break a strong Back hand to strengthen your Front. The scoop bonus for winning all three is good, but you give up certainty on your best hand to chase it. This trade rarely works out in your favor against experienced opponents.
-
Watch opponent patterns over multiple rounds. Pusoy players tend to have habitual tendencies — some always try to load up the Back hand, others play riskier Front configurations. Pay attention and adjust your strategy accordingly.
-
Manage your session budget before sitting down. Decide your session limit before the first hand. Super Aces provides deposit and loss limit tools — use them so emotions do not drive decisions at the table.
